White Panic
It is estimated that by 2025, Hispanics will have outnumbered the population of whites and every other race within the United States by 3 to 1. For the first time in history according to the census bureau, whites will no longer be the majority in America. Not only is the population decreasing for whites but they are currently the largest populus of Americans dying and at an alarming rate.. In recent years there has been a growing sense of panic, an apprehensive fear, amongst many whites who see diversity as a threat to their existence and the sanctity of their livelihood. The common sentiment expressed amidst the fear of those white folks, is this impending sense that they are losing. “Losing what?” “Their number of being the majority?” “Their sense of identity?: “Their opportunities?” This is where I’m completely puzzled. As the dominant group in power, HOW do you feel YOU are losing? Seems to me, in this country being white alone is an automatic privilege, and unfortunately if you don’t identify with that group its a privilege you cannot afford.. So how is that losing? Not only is that idea ridiculously inaccurate, but insulting to every individual who is not part of the dominant group.
From the outlook of everyone else aside from white people, it appears as if they’re winning… Since the migration of slaves, negroes have always been at the bottom. Black folks KNOW that the dominant group’s ability to be pulled over for a traffic stop without incident and be taken into custody, if that, will end peacefully.
This we KNOW as a fact. We’ve seen white men taken off the domestic terrorism list, courtesy of President Trump, when in this country THEY are the ones who have committed more recent acts of terror than any OTHER race on domestic soil. So this belief that they are losing, seems far fetched, impractical and a farce. Other races have never been the dominant group and where is our panic? That’s right, our panic stems from a valid place, a real place of fear because we happen to FIT THE DESCRIPTION. Our fears of being assassinated are REAL, UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL. While we’re trying to avoid being murdered bc of our skin color, they’re frantic bc they won’t be the majority anymore… Boo hoo. Especially while their numbers are dwindling. Those who are terrified of being the minority, couldn’t walk two steps in our shoes. From their perspective, we have always been inferior and less than, never equals. While minorities and Hispanics are having children 3 times more than their white counterparts and having babies earlier than them as well. White people are having less children and dying faster… Wow… Many Trump supporters aren’t necessarily sold on his abilities to keep his promise and be a President that will keep jobs in America, they are sold on the reality that he is a President who looks like them, speaks for them and can promote white nationalist values. That is what’s most important about keeping him in office. From the adamant attitude to build the wall, deporting thousands of immigrants, separating children from families, holding these individuals in detention centers/camps. These tactics are all part strategic plan to eradicate those who don’t belong here legally and by any means necessary.
This is about fear and the ability to shape, control and dictate the narrative. If their feelings are that they are losing, is this also part of the solution towards winning? Does a win for them, essentially mean a loss for everyone else? As exhausting and intolerable as another Trump presidency seems for most of us, it may very well be an inevitability.. Those who claim they aren’t racist but support Trump say that he’s a businessman who will M.A.G.A. Side eye from this black woman who doesn’t believe in their naive thinking or lack thereof. Others who are racist, feel that Trump not only shares their values, beliefs and attitudes but that THEY’RE President emboldens them. Trump gives them the courage to express themselves, to verbalize what they’ve always wanted to say. They will do whatever they can to keep him in office and disregard the notion of anyone else who could possibly be a President to everyone in this country.
Not just those who look like him, but to everyone who makes this country really great in reality. MAGA to not just represent a signature catchphrase for an epic failure of a businessman who became President and wants to divide and destroy this country at the expense of those who are minorities and immigrants. If we intend on M.A.G.A that means that we must get impeach Donald Trump and every agenda he intends to promote that tears down this country. That is the ONLY way we as a country , will ever reach greatness. When we include and represent everyone seated at the table, EQUALLY, then and only then will we be the country that is great….
